A COTSWOLDS estate agent has defied the housing slump and expanded its business.
Cirencester-based Moore Allen & Innocent, one of the district’s oldest businesses, has appointed a new associate – its first in nine years.
The company has taken on Mark Halliwell, following his five years service as a residential estate agent. He said: “The fact my appointment has been made as the industry leaves what has been a challenging period, demonstrates the partners’ desire to strengthen and expand.”
Before joining the firm, Mr Halliwell worked for eight years as regional director of a relocation company, managing 230 independent estate agents.
He said: “My appointment allows the partners to bring in new skills.”
Roy Bowyer, partner in charge of the residential department, said: “During five years at Moore Allen, Mark has clearly proved his determination to maintain the high standards clients have come to expect from us.”
The firm offers a residential and commercial estate agency, lettings services, agricultural and rural expertise, as well as fine art and auctions services.
